Key Responsibilities

  • •Proactively manage a caseload of complex property damage claims, including evaluating coverage and potential legal liability.
  • •Investigate claim damages using research from multiple sources, resolving discrepancies and identifying subrogation potential when applicable.
  • •Determine coverage by analyzing complex policy terms and contingencies, and create Special Investigation Unit (SIU) referrals when appropriate.
  • •Negotiate and settle complex claims within authority limits, and collaborate with management on settlement recommendations outside authority limits.
  • •Maintain accurate, thorough, and current claim file documentation; use estimating technology and virtual inspection tools and support CAT response operations as needed.

Key Requirements

  • •High School Diploma or General Equivalency Diploma required.
  • •2 years of relevant property claims adjusting experience for moderate complexity losses, including writing estimates and dwelling/structural damages.
  • •Advanced knowledge of estimating losses using Xactimate or similar tools and platforms.
  • •Proficient knowledge of residential construction and property claims contracts, including interpretation of case law and state laws/regulations.
  • •Ability to travel 50-75% of the year (local & non-local) and/or work catastrophe duty when needed.
