Key Responsibilities

  • •Translate product specifications into manufacturing and service requirements, including factory cycle time and product availability.
  • •During co-design, ensure products are designed for assembly, maintenance, and success rate in factory and at customer locations within required timeframes.
  • •Prepare factory and service processes: assembly/test/service procedures, training documentation, out-of-control action plans, diagnostics, SPC parameters, and tooling/spare parts.
  • •Support new product introduction by validating manufacturing and service procedures during prototype build and training/supporting factory and service personnel during pilot and early customer introduction.
  • •Analyze performance and define improvements; escalate from field teams in collaboration with development and customer support; travel internationally up to 10% if needed.

Key Requirements

  • •Bachelor or Master degree in a technical area, physics preferred.
  • •At least 2-5 years of experience in a production and/or service environment with high-tech products and complex production processes.
  • •Experience providing back-line support for business-critical applications and building independent knowledge transfer networks.
  • •Ability to create detailed documentation and training materials.
  • •Willingness to learn top-of-the-edge technologies; optics experience is preferred.
