Key Responsibilities

  • •Lead and grow the Unity Platforms documentation team, including hiring, coaching, performance management, and priority alignment with engineering and product roadmaps.
  • •Redesign the documentation creation cycle to be AI-first, using generative AI for drafting, review, gap analysis, and maintenance.
  • •Direct the team’s work building and maintaining AI “skills” so AI assistants can act on Unity Platforms documentation as a source of truth.
  • •Stay current on AI advances and ensure documentation processes and writer roles remain performant and competitive.
  • •Collaborate with stakeholders across the company to deliver the right content to the right user at the right time.

Key Requirements

  • •8+ years in technical writing, developer documentation, or content strategy, including 4+ years managing people.
  • •Hands-on experience with generative AI tools and using automation/workflows to produce and maintain content.
  • •Proven ability to lead a documentation/content team through major process or tooling transformation.
  • •Ability to define metrics and quality frameworks and influence senior engineering/product stakeholders.
  • •Strong experience with developer-facing documentation for platforms, SDKs, or APIs (game engine/platform engineering experience is a plus).
