Job Summary

Development Infrastructure engineers of varying levels are sought to support UK-wide planning and design for highways, drainage, and related civil works. Responsibilities include producing designs and reports for masterplanning and planning applications, mentoring junior staff, and delivering concept studies through to construction drawings, across multiple client projects.

Key Responsibilities

•Produce designs and drawings for construction projects and deliver technical reports for masterplanning and to support planning applications; active on multiple projects and client accounts.
•Work as a design engineer within teams to produce designs and drawings to support planning applications and construction.
•Liaise with clients at local and national levels across multiple projects.
•Mentor and manage early career professionals to ensure technical excellence in all deliverables.
•Provide day-to-day project management support in the delivery of concept studies and strategies, leading to planning applications or construction drawing issues.

Key Requirements

•A civil engineering degree and be approaching Chartered status with experience in highway and highway drainage design.
•Post graduate experience in a civil engineering working environment.
•Experience in producing masterplans, site appraisals, write reports to support planning applications, design calculations and construction drawings.
•Knowledge of and ability to deliver highway design, highway drainage principles (layout, parameters, etc.), surface water and foul drainage designs.
•Experience in the use of Windes drainage software and PDS or Civils 3D modelling software together with experience in applying Highways England and Local Authority design guidance.
