Key Responsibilities

  • •Provide labor relations counsel, including preparation for and conduct of collective bargaining negotiations and advising bargaining teams on strategy and CBA language.
  • •Counsel on grievances, arbitrations, NLRB proceedings, union organizing activity, and works council matters.
  • •Serve as practical employment counsel to HR and business leaders on hiring, investigations, discipline, terminations, reorganizations, reductions in force, accommodations, and leaves.
  • •Address EEOC and other agency charges, attorney demands, and related investigations by identifying trends and partnering on corrective and preventive solutions.
  • •Direct outside counsel effectively and share lessons learned to build a single, connected approach across Eaton’s businesses and geographies.

Pay and Benefits

Salary: USD 165,000 - 242,000 annually

Key Requirements

  • •Bachelors degree from an accredited college or university, and Juris Doctor from an accredited law school.
  • •Active license to practice law in at least one U.S. state.
  • •Eligibility to practice in or register as in-house counsel in Ohio.
  • •Minimum 10 years of employment law experience, including meaningful labor relations experience.
  • •Command of federal and state employment law (e.g., Title VII, ADA, ADEA, FMLA, FLSA) and the National Labor Relations Act, with strong negotiation and drafting skills.
