Key Responsibilities

  • •Provide high-level technical assistance and guidance for multi-site, multi-phase substation projects from concept through construction and commissioning.
  • •Support project execution by developing and managing schedules, budgets, quality, and deliverables for assigned substation projects.
  • •Perform QA/QC reviews for technical deliverables prior to client submission to ensure accuracy, constructability, and compliance.
  • •Direct detailed electrical design work, including one-line/three-line diagrams, schematics, wiring diagrams, station layouts, grounding grids, and lightning protection.
  • •Oversee and mentor engineers and designers, preparing reports, calculations, exhibits, and presentations; interact with clients, contractors, and regulatory agencies.

Key Requirements

  • •Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering (or equivalent experience).
  • •7 to 10 years of post-education experience delivering substation design for utility-scale transmission and distribution projects.
  • •Experience designing medium- to high-voltage substations (15kV through 230kV) and applying IEEE and ANSI standards.
  • •Demonstrated experience acting as the lead electrical engineer on multiple concurrent substation projects.
  • •Proficiency with protection & control, SCADA, communications/telecommunications, and electrical codes, standards, and compliance practices.
