Job Summary

Join the Geotechnical & Tunnelling team to deliver tunnelling projects from feasibility through construction, producing and checking engineering deliverables such as reports, calculations, and drawings. Lead and manage delivery work with robust financial management, coordinate multidisciplinary design, and mentor staff. Support client liaison and specialist/consultant coordination, and contribute to business development through preparation of technical proposals while working across diverse major road and rail schemes.

Key Responsibilities

•Produce, check, and approve engineering deliverables including reports, design calculations, and drawings for tunnels and shafts.
•Manage and deliver project work with robust project financial management across feasibility to construction.
•Assist in managing team resources and allocating appropriate project resources.
•Provide support across project delivery, including client liaison, contractor/sub-consultant coordination, consultation, and quality control.
•Carry out business development activities, including preparation of technical proposals.

Key Requirements

•Experience managing and delivering tunnelling projects, ideally including multi-disciplinary design coordination and engineering/project management.
•Technical expertise in civil/structural and geotechnical engineering with a demonstrable understanding of tunnelling principles.
•Consultancy experience with strong commercial awareness and relationships with clients and contractors.
•Degree in Civil Engineering, Engineering Geology, or Structural Engineering, plus Chartered Engineer or equivalent registration.
•Experience working with Eurocodes and other design standards.
