Key Responsibilities

  • •Serve as project manager for traffic engineering projects.
  • •Conduct traffic analyses, crash analyses, feasibility work, traffic studies, and traffic impact study reviews.
  • •Perform professional traffic engineering work including investigations and inspections of site conditions, roadways, intersections, and transportation corridors.
  • •Oversee and monitor cross-functional engineering/planning teams to execute mid-level and concurrent projects, including budgets, tracking, task completion, and compliance documentation.
  • •Develop and design innovative intersection and corridor improvement concepts and safety studies, coordinating with authorities, sub-consultants, and clients.

Key Requirements

  • •Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering or a closely related discipline.
  • •10+ years of relevant post-education experience in engineering with prior traffic design experience.
  • •Registered Professional Engineer in North Carolina.
  • •Knowledge of traffic engineering and planning software including HCS, Synchro, VISSIM, ArcGIS, and TransModeler.
  • •Individual Prequalification with NCDOT for Capacity Analysis Level 1 (026), Capacity Analysis Level 2 (027), and Traffic Impact Studies (252).
