Job Summary

Build and maintain high-performance, high-volume Java applications for Mastercard’s Smart Data Commercial Platform, powering virtual card provisioning and reporting via API, Batch, and UI channels. Lead a distributed agile engineering team, collaborate with technical leads and product management to define features and user stories, and drive system improvements aligned to SLAs. Provide technical training, enhance engineering standards and process efficiency, and deliver secure, highly available solutions for a global customer base.

Key Responsibilities

•Lead a distributed agile engineering team in the commercial virtual payments space.
•Develop and maintain high-performance, high-volume Java applications across API/Batch/UI channels.
•Collaborate with technical leads and product management to define features and user stories.
•Ensure system development and maintenance meet service level agreements (SLAs) and support faster time to market.
•Provide technical training and continuously improve engineering standards and process efficiency.

Key Requirements

•Strong Java development experience with Spring and Hibernate.
•Solid experience with RESTful APIs and JSON/SOAP based APIs using Java.
•Experience building global-scale solutions and working in an agile environment, contributing in retrospectives and discussions.
