Key Responsibilities

  • •Turn product strategy for the Couchbase Mobile portfolio into a detailed roadmap and drive it through to shipped, adopted releases with execution rigor.
  • •Own end-to-end day-to-day execution by writing technical product requirements, partnering with engineering/design, validating pre-release features hands-on, and running agile ceremonies.
  • •Improve operational excellence across a mature, multi-product portfolio by tightening release quality and documentation, and systematically removing friction in developer experience.
  • •Define how the portfolio supports on-device and edge AI and convert that into engineering-ready requirements that keep mobile/edge products relevant.
  • •Pressure-test use cases with customers/prospects, lead live customer escalations with field/sales/support, and evangelize the portfolio through technical talks, webinars, and content.

Key Requirements

  • •8+ years of product management experience driving flawless execution for a mature product or portfolio at scale, preferably in distributed systems, databases, or developer platforms.
  • •3+ years of hands-on software development experience writing or architecting production applications yourself.
  • •Demonstrated ability to materially improve execution quality, operational rigor, and developer experience for a mature product.
  • •Comfort prototyping and a technical/developer background building or architecting client-side applications (mobile, desktop, or web); Flutter/KMM fluency is a plus.
  • •Practical understanding of distributed systems (high availability, disaster recovery, security/access control) and edge computing and AI concepts; familiarity with AWS/Azure/GCP is preferred.
