Key Responsibilities

  • •Ensure scalability, performance, and reliability of the database system.
  • •Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, design, and ship new features.
  • •Troubleshoot and resolve complex issues in distributed environments.
  • •Profile, debug, and fine-tune performance using tools like JFR, JMC, async-profiler, and VisualVM; keep code clean and reviewable with Git.
  • •Implement and optimize data storage, networking to other nodes (including failure handling and recovery), and high-availability and data-consistency algorithms.

Key Requirements

  • •4+ years of experience programming in Java.
  • •Deep knowledge of concurrency in Java (including Java Memory Model) and/or other concurrency models.
  • •Strong Java SE knowledge (including IO and JVM internals).
  • •Experience with SQL databases and troubleshooting Java applications and/or databases.
  • •Deep SQL knowledge (MariaDB/MySQL/PostgreSQL/Apache Ignite/GridGain) and passion for distributed systems.
