Job Summary

Key Responsibilities

  • •Provide crisis intervention and comprehensive support, including emotional support, transportation arrangements, and accompanying victims to medical, legal, or law enforcement appointments when requested.
  • •Conduct initial screening, non-clinical risk and lethality assessments, and develop and evaluate safety and intervention plans with victims.
  • •Ensure sensitive, confidential, and immediate care, including disclosures and reporting options during initial contact to support informed victim decisions.
  • •Coordinate and liaison with the installation Family Advocacy Program Manager and multidisciplinary team members to ensure coordinated services and training.
  • •Maintain ongoing case management, complete required data entry within three business days, and ensure timely contact with victims while in crisis and at least every 30 days when not in crisis.

Key Requirements

  • •Bachelor’s degree in social/work, psychology, marriage/family and child counseling, counseling/behavioral science, education, community health, or public health.
  • •Two years’ experience working with victims of domestic abuse/sexual assault violence or victim advocacy services.
  • •Knowledge of family violence dynamics, safety planning, risk assessments, local community resources, and applicable federal/state laws for domestic abuse or sexual assault.
  • •Ability to intervene in crisis situations using sound professional judgment, ethical practice, and common sense.
  • •Must possess and maintain a valid, unrestricted motor vehicle license and be able to provide on-call victim advocacy services 24 hours/7 days per week.
