Key Responsibilities

  • •Respond to interpreting sessions promptly, conducting interpretation in a friendly and professional manner
  • •Render correct concepts and meanings according to established interpretation protocol, avoiding omissions or additions
  • •Speak clearly in both languages with proper pronunciation and enunciation
  • •Maintain a professional demeanor throughout the sessions
  • •Remain calm during sessions, especially during emergency situations such as 911 calls, and handle high call volumes respectfully

Key Requirements

  • •Fluency in Dzongkha and English; able to read and write the requested languages (highly preferred)
  • •Legally authorized to work in the United States; work authorization that does not require visa sponsorship now or in the future
  • •Must be at least 18 years of age; high school diploma or equivalent
  • •Based on location, post-offer, pre-employment background check and/or drug screen may be required
  • •Ability to adapt to technology enhancements and maintain professional interpretation standards
