Job Summary

Lead North America Commercial HVAC Laboratory operations by managing technicians who perform testing and data acquisition that enable product design engineering teams. Drive lab safety, quality systems, and continuous improvement while recruiting, training, and developing Lab Operations teams. Coordinate with Test Engineering, other Lab teams, functional leaders, and customers to meet project milestones, support capital expenditure initiatives, manage lab budgets, and ensure compliance with ISO 17025.

Key Responsibilities

•Partner with Lab EHS and lab team members to ensure safety is the top priority and meet all safety goals in the NA CHVAC Laboratories.
•Foster a quality system to consistently produce valid test results and data, in support of product development testing and compliance needs.
•Lead multiple Lab Operations teams, driving continuous improvement, applying standard work to eliminate waste, and aligning tasks and priorities between teams.
•Recruit, develop, train, and motivate Lab Operations team members while establishing mentorship and recognition/awards programs.
•Develop lab strategies aligned to business objectives, plan resource needs with functional leaders, support capital expenditure projects, and manage lab operations expense budgets.

Travel: Low travel

Salary: USD 113,600 - 161,945 annually

Key Requirements

•Bachelor’s degree in a technical discipline and at least 8 years of industrial operations or Lab experience, or an equivalent combination of education and work experience.
•At least 5 years of people leadership experience.
•Strong financial literacy with experience managing departmental budgets.
•Proficiency with MS Office (Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, and Word).
•Familiarity with test equipment, laboratory testing, workflow processes, and quality systems.
