Key Responsibilities

  • •Define and maintain an enterprise workload taxonomy spanning relational databases, Java, analytics, virtualization, consolidation, and server applications.
  • •Develop rigorous methods for throughput, latency, tail latency, and scale-up/scale-out behavior, including consolidation and service-level objectives.
  • •Analyze AMD versus Intel performance by examining core configuration, frequency/power behavior, acceleration features, and platform setup.
  • •Evaluate compiler, JVM, database, kernel, and library tuning to ensure fair comparisons reflecting realistic deployment choices.
  • •Use profiling and counters to explain CPU stalls, memory behavior, locks/contention, NUMA placement, and software bottlenecks; produce deep-dive technical and executive reports.

Pay and Benefits

Salary: USD 178,500 - 306,000 annually

Key Requirements

  • •Extensive hands-on performance engineering experience with enterprise or server applications at scale.
  • •Experience tuning full software stacks and separating CPU limits from storage, network, runtime, and configuration artifacts.
  • •Strong Linux and system-administration skills, including scripting and repeatable environment setup.
  • •Experience with profiling tools, hardware performance counters, and NUMA/system-level tuning.
  • •Hands-on experience with Intel Xeon and AMD EPYC enterprise platforms, plus experience with relational/distributed databases and Java/JVM performance.
