Job Summary

Design bulk material handling systems for mining and industrial projects, including overland conveyors and plant conveying layouts. Produce and review GA drawings, conveyor profiles, equipment layouts, chute arrangements, and MTOs while applying design codes and client specifications. Perform engineering calculations and vendor evaluations, prepare RFQs, and coordinate with vendors and internal disciplines through engineering, procurement, and construction phases, supporting FAT and commissioning activities.

Key Responsibilities

•Design and develop material handling systems and layouts for mining and industrial projects, including overland conveyors and plant conveying systems.
•Review and prepare GA drawings, conveyor profiles, equipment layouts, chute arrangements, and MTOs to ensure compliance with project specifications and standards.
•Perform material handling design calculations such as conveyor capacity, belt tension, power calculations, chute flow analysis, and equipment duty checks.
•Prepare technical specifications/datasheets and RFQs, evaluate vendor offers, and support technical bid evaluation and clarifications.
•Coordinate with vendors/OEMs and internal disciplines across engineering, procurement, construction, and support inspection, FAT, installation, and commissioning activities.

Key Requirements

•8–12 years of experience in material handling engineering.
•Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering; master’s degree preferred.
•Experience engineering bulk material handling systems (e.g., conveyors, crushers, screens, feeders, stackers, reclaimers, chutes, bins, hoppers) for mining/industrial projects in an EPCM environment.
•Strong knowledge of material handling design codes and standards including CEMA, AS, DIN, ISO, and IS, plus client specifications.
•Excellent written and verbal English communication; attention to detail and familiarity working in a LEAN environment.
