Job Summary

Deliver actuarial services for a portfolio of clients, developing client relationships and supporting trustee work. Advise on strategic pensions issues including benefit design, restructuring, risk management/transfer projects, funding, and pension accounting disclosures. Prepare actuarial valuations, funding certificates, proposals, and statements under the Pensions Act 1990, while ensuring technical quality and collaborating on joint consulting, risk management, and investment projects.

Key Responsibilities

•Develop client relationships and deliver trustee work.
•Advise clients on strategic pensions issues, including benefit design, restructuring, risk management/transfer projects, funding, and pension accounting disclosures.
•Prepare actuarial valuations, funding certificates, funding proposals, and actuarial statements under the Pensions Act 1990.
•Own the quality of technical work delivered to clients, including reviewing work from more junior support team members when needed.
•Collaborate on joint projects and develop intellectual capital to support innovation and efficiencies.

Key Requirements

•Qualified Actuary or part qualified with less than one year remaining.
•Stakeholder management experience with exposure to leading client relationships.
•Relevant industry and consulting experience with strong technical capability.
•Strong communication and interpersonal skills, comfortable leading discussions at a senior management level.
•Ability to encourage and develop other colleagues while thinking strategically and paying close attention to detail.
