Job Summary

Senior HV Substation Primary Engineer leads technical design and delivery for high‑voltage primary circuits (AIS/GIS) on substation projects. Key Responsibilities

•Act as technical lead for HV primary circuit engineering on substation projects (AIS/GIS) from concept through detail design and construction support.
•Coordinate and guide multidisciplinary teams, including primary, secondary, civil, and commissioning engineers.
•Interface with project managers, clients, contractors, and authorities to ensure technical compliance, constructability, and timely delivery.
•Develop and review HV primary circuit designs, including substation layouts, equipment arrangements, busbar configurations, and HV cable systems.
•Provide engineering support during construction, installation, testing, and commissioning phases as required.

Key Requirements

•Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering; Master’s degree preferred
•10+ years of experience in T&D primary circuit design and project management with demonstrated leadership capabilities
•Proficiency in engineering software tools (e.g., AutoCAD) and strong understanding of primary circuit design principles (substation design, overhead lines, underground cables)
•Excellent project management skills (planning, budgeting, resource management) and experience with high-voltage primary circuit projects
•Knowledge of regulatory requirements and industry standards (IEC, IEEE, AS); effective communication and interpersonal skills; Nice to have Professional Engineer license / ANRE
