Key Responsibilities

  • •Learn to be Meter’s telecom lawyer guiding the path to becoming an ISP across multiple regions.
  • •Build Meter’s international risk compliance program (FCPA, export controls, CFIUS, sanctions) and project-manage entry into new markets end-to-end.
  • •Advise the business on B2B data privacy (GDPR, CCPA) and partner with the CISO on privacy-as-a-product strategy.
  • •Counsel the Marketing Team on advertising claims, promotions, events, sponsorships, and brand usage.
  • •Build Meter's vendor risk program starting with installers, through contracting and ongoing oversight.
  • •Serve as product counsel supporting compliance engineers on FCC and safety questions for hardware.
  • •Counsel ML/AI teams on responsible training and deployment of models.
  • •Work with People and Facilities on employment, safety, and OSHA matters.
  • •Support dispute management and litigation; develop repeatable compliance processes with the General Counsel.

Pay and Benefits

Salary: USD 172,000 - 275,000 annually

Key Requirements

  • •J.D. from a top law school with experience at a top law firm
  • •In-house regulatory experience
  • •Member in good standing of at least one state bar
  • •Ability to advise on data privacy (GDPR, CCPA) and work with the CISO on privacy-as-a-product initiatives
  • •Experience advising on FCC/safety reviews and related regulatory matters
