Key Responsibilities

  • •Lead and support production employees throughout the workday.
  • •Communicate daily production goals, priorities, and expectations; monitor progress to keep work on schedule.
  • •Troubleshoot production issues that may slow or stop production and adjust manpower/workflow as needed.
  • •Maintain and enforce safety, PPE, and housekeeping expectations; work with safety leaders on JDA’s and JSA’s.
  • •Monitor and address quality concerns as they occur; train and cross-train employees, coach for improvement, and encourage teamwork and problem-solving.

Key Requirements

  • •Minimum 3 to 5 years of manufacturing experience and 1 to 3 years of experience managing people.
  • •Post high school education is required.
  • •Strong communication skills to engage listeners, ask pertinent questions, and clearly convey production expectations.
  • •Proficiency in operating Inside UFPI, including understanding UFP policy training and navigating resources.
  • •Knowledge of safety and quality programs, including LOTO, JDA/JSA, Precise Plant Quality Program, and machine audits; successful completion of forklift driver licensing process.
