Key Requirements

  • •Implement novel techniques in vector similarity for search platforms with large user bases or contribute to academic progress in vector similarity information retrieval.
  • •Hands-on professional experience with vector similarity/vector databases, including using algorithms and libraries such as HNSW, IVF, or similar approaches at scale.
  • •Strong core Java skills, including data structures and concurrency constructs (and familiarity with modern Java features such as lambdas).
  • •Ability to take projects end-to-end, including technical design and working with engineers to build required components.
  • •Experience working with data storage technologies such as Elasticsearch, Solr, PostgreSQL, MongoDB, or Cassandra, and understanding how they work.
