Key Responsibilities

  • •Drive design and implementation of foundational platforms and systems in collaboration with stakeholders to refine requirements.
  • •Collaborate cross-functionally to define, design, and deliver new features.
  • •Identify opportunities for, and drive improvements to, current programming practices, including process enhancements and tool upgrades.
  • •Present technical information to teams and stakeholders, providing guidance on development processes and technologies.
  • •Work within the Platform Engineering team to support shared platforms used across Scale, including data platforms and cloud infrastructure/orchestration.

Key Requirements

  • •3+ years of full-time engineering experience, with specialities in back-end systems.
  • •Extensive software development experience with strong understanding of distributed systems and public cloud platforms (AWS preferred).
  • •Proven independent ownership of successful engineering projects.
  • •Fluency with containerization and deployment technologies such as Kubernetes, Terraform, and Docker.
  • •Experience with orchestration platforms such as Temporal and AWS Step Functions, and working with NoSQL (MongoDB) and structured databases (Postgres).
