Job Summary

Lead commercial paving projects by managing the full lifecycle from initial bid through closeout. Review blueprints, specifications, and site conditions to produce accurate takeoffs and detailed estimates for self-performed work. Coordinate bid packaging, subcontractor quote analysis, and ongoing client/vendor collaboration, while performing site visits, schedule updates, cost tracking, and change order pricing to ensure project milestones and customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities

•Review blueprints, specifications, proposals, and site conditions; produce accurate takeoffs and cost estimates for materials, equipment, labor, and production.
•Create detailed estimates for self-performed work and manage bid packages, including subcontractor quote analysis.
•Drive business development by cultivating customer relationships and identifying bid opportunities through established networks.
•Oversee contracted projects with schedule development/updates, safety practices, progress reporting, and monthly billings.
•Perform financial oversight by reviewing job costs regularly, managing and pricing change orders, overseeing subcontractors/vendors, and coordinating site visits with construction leadership.

Key Requirements

•Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering, construction management, or a related field is strongly preferred.
•At least five years of experience in construction, paving, and/or estimating with successful project delivery.
•Ability to interpret drawings, instructions, correspondence, and memos with strong quantitative skills.
•Exceptional written and verbal communication skills for presenting information to customers, clients, and teams.
•Proficiency with Microsoft Office and relevant project estimation tools and workflows.
