Key Responsibilities

  • •Lead the design of the DevOps strategy and collaborate with cross-functional teams to evolve cloud infrastructure for performance, scalability, and security.
  • •Develop and enhance observability and detection capabilities to improve stability without compromising agility or security.
  • •Build consensus across DevOps engineers in different geographies and feature teams to establish standardized tools and practices.
  • •Drive the development of self-service platforms and cost/access management across the infrastructure.
  • •Partner with engineering teams to ensure reliable, scalable operations supporting Airwallex’s growth ambitions.

Key Requirements

  • •DevOps engineer with hands-on experience in at least one programming language (Python/Ansible/shell)
  • •Software engineering background (Infra/Platform Engineer) with experience in cost management, access management, and self-service platform development
  • •Operations background (Service Mesh Istio & K8s) with experience in traffic management and service mesh architecture
  • •Expert in public cloud, large-scale Kubernetes clusters and services, Istio service mesh, service registry, service discovery, Infra, and service reliability
  • •Experience building observability/detection capabilities to reduce time to discovery and improve stability
