Key Responsibilities

  • •Underwrite and manage a treaty reinsurance portfolio, including evaluating, pricing, negotiating, and monitoring proportional and non-proportional arrangements.
  • •Assess risk exposures, terms and conditions, and coverage structures to ensure profitability and alignment with risk appetite.
  • •Lead renewal negotiations and participate in new business development initiatives to support profitable growth.
  • •Monitor portfolio performance (loss trends, rate adequacy, and capital utilization) and prepare underwriting recommendations and portfolio reviews for senior management.
  • •Collaborate with internal stakeholders (finance, actuarial, legal) to design and execute programs and ensure compliance with underwriting guidelines, regulatory requirements, and governance standards.

Key Requirements

  • •Minimum bachelor’s degree in insurance, finance, risk management, actuarial science, accounting, or a related field (or relevant military experience at/above U.S. E5 or Canadian Petty Officer 2nd Class/Sergeant).
  • •Minimum 7 years of relevant experience in insurance/reinsurance underwriting, marketing, or commercial insurance operations.
  • •Ability to work legally in the United States for this U.S. based position; no visa sponsorship/support available.
  • •Previous experience in treaty reinsurance underwriting, marketing, and commercial reinsurance operations.
  • •Master’s degree or higher education (Business Administration or Insurance preferred).
