Job Summary

Work on AMD’s SerDes and Analog Mixed Signal (AMS) IC design efforts in Cork, collaborating with engineers to support specification, design partitioning, and the end-to-end IC design process. Key Responsibilities

•Learn specification development, design partitioning, and the overall IC design process.
•Support the design and verification of analog and mixed-signal circuits for high-speed SerDes PHY development.
•Gain exposure to digital design and/or digital functional verification methodologies.
•Learn custom analog layout techniques and how layout-dependent effects impact circuit performance.
•Verify circuit designs against functional, performance, and reliability targets; present progress and findings and participate in design reviews using simulation/verification tools.

Key Requirements

•Currently enrolled in university studying Electrical/Electronic Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
•Knowledge of analog and digital circuit fundamentals, logic design, and electronic systems from coursework.
•Understanding of analog design principles.
•Competence in at least one programming, scripting, or hardware description language such as Python, C, Java, or Verilog.
•Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills, with enthusiasm to learn in a collaborative engineering environment.
