Key Responsibilities

  • •Design solar PV systems using PVSol, PVSyst, PVCase, and other industry-standard PV design software.
  • •Support projects by producing design layouts, system specifications, cost estimates, and technical reports.
  • •Conduct technical site surveys across the UK.
  • •Attend client meetings, build strong relationships, and help develop effective technical solutions.
  • •Support the commercial team in the preparation of technical submissions and tender documentation.
Travel: Low travel

Key Requirements

  • •Degree or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related discipline; Chartered Engineer status (or actively working towards chartership).
  • •Proven experience in the design, specification, and/or construction of solar PV projects within a consultancy, EPC contractor, or developer environment.
  • •Strong understanding of solar PV systems and associated electrical infrastructure; ability to prepare high-quality technical reports, specifications, and client-facing documentation.
  • •Knowledge of applicable industry standards, regulations, and best practices relating to solar PV installations; experience leading project teams and mentoring junior engineers.
  • •Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel to project sites, including remote locations; excellent written and verbal communication skills.
