Key Responsibilities

  • •Provide human monitoring and operations of Intelligent Transportation Systems (ITS) devices and other traffic control devices, taking actions based on SOP guidance.
  • •Manage traffic incident management, including coordination of responses for roadway concerns.
  • •Maintain database entry for incident, special event, roadway concern, and call log activities.
  • •Assist with traffic data collection for system performance troubleshooting using manual and automated surveillance features of ATMS/ITS and other TMC systems.
  • •Receive and respond to notifications (roadwork, incidents, special events, malfunctions) and coordinate information and inquiries with TDOT and operational partners.

Key Requirements

  • •High school diploma.
  • •0-2 years of experience with a TMC type facility and/or traffic management.
  • •Strong oral and written communication skills.
  • •Proficiency with computer/software tools, including MS Office applications, spreadsheets, and databases.
  • •Ability to use digital roadway maps and have working knowledge of roadway elements, including passing a Criminal History Background Check.
