Job Summary

Maintain and troubleshoot industrial ammonia refrigeration systems for a fresh food manufacturing plant, performing preventive, corrective, and emergency maintenance independently. Monitor pressures, temperatures, alarms, and respond to failures to protect product integrity. Support OSHA PSM and EPA RMP compliance through inspections, documentation, and safe work practices (LOTO, confined space). Provide ammonia safety and emergency response support while maintaining food safety and sanitation standards.

Key Responsibilities

•Operate, monitor, and maintain industrial refrigeration systems (compressors, evaporators, condensers, vessels, valves, and control systems).
•Perform preventive, corrective, and emergency maintenance; independently troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and control-related issues.
•Monitor system pressures, temperatures, oil levels, and alarms, taking corrective action and responding promptly to failures.
•Complete work orders and accurately document maintenance activities in the CMMS.
•Support ammonia safety and compliance by following OSHA PSM/EPA RMP requirements, participating in emergency response and inspections, and using safe work practices (MOC, LOTO, hot work, confined space).
