Key Responsibilities

  • •Own the data warehouse platform end-to-end, including CDC pipelines, the data lake, query layer, transformation layer, and analytics-facing tooling.
  • •Design, build, and operate CDC pipelines with Debezium and Kafka/Redpanda-style streaming to move data into the warehouse with low latency and high fidelity.
  • •Architect the data lake using Iceberg/Delta Lake/Hudi with Parquet to support batch and streaming workloads.
  • •Scale the query and serving layer using StarRocks (or adjacent engines), including schema design, materialized views, ingestion patterns, tuning, and cost/performance trade-offs.
  • •Build and operationalize the transformation and orchestration layers using dbt and orchestration/observability/data-quality tooling; partner with Security/Compliance on PHI/PII, access controls, lineage, and auditability.

Salary: USD 210,000 - 275,000 annually

Key Requirements

  • •6+ years of software engineering experience, including significant time building or operating data platforms at scale.
  • •Hands-on experience across the modern data stack, including CDC (Debezium or equivalent), streaming (Kafka/Redpanda), data lake formats (Iceberg/Delta/Hudi), an MPP/lakehouse engine (StarRocks/ClickHouse/Trino/Snowflake/Databricks), and dbt.
  • •Strong SQL skills, schema design, query optimization, and the ability to reason about cost and latency trade-offs on large datasets.
  • •Experience operating production data infrastructure, including orchestration, observability, on-call, data quality, and incident response.
  • •Ability to partner on PHI/PII handling, access controls, lineage, and auditability to meet HIPAA and SOC 2 requirements.
