Lead development of the Events Analytics Platform to scale time-series data and searching across billions of events. Expand search infrastructure, improve storage performance and reliability, and elevate developer experience. Shape infrastructure direction, collaborate with Product and other Engineering teams, and push Sentry’s data visibility to petabyte-scale workloads.

•Expand EAP's ability to deliver data at world-class speed and reliability.
•Architect and automate services and systems to scale reliably under growing demand.
•Make architectural trade-offs that balance product requirements with engineering constraints.
•Maintain and grow the team's code quality initiatives by regularly reviewing code and contributing to design decisions.
•Lead design and discussions around deliverables the team is working towards.

Pay and Benefits

Salary: CAD 200,000 - 295,000 annually

Key Requirements

•4+ years of backend or infrastructure engineering experience.
•Strong knowledge of replicated and distributed data storage systems (e.g., PostgreSQL, ClickHouse).
•Proficiency in Python or a comparable language.
•Experience with storage/streaming systems: PostgreSQL, ClickHouse, Memcached, Redis, Kafka, RabbitMQ.
•Strong communication skills and willingness to be in the Toronto area or relocate.
