Key Responsibilities

  • •Own enclosure mechanical design using sheet metal, turned/milled, injection moulded, cast, and extruded parts.
  • •Liaise with the hardware team on PCBA and cable design, and coordinate supplier-built custom parts.
  • •Generate parts on PLM, specify off-the-shelf components, and support prototype build through assembly/disassembly and build instructions.
  • •Validate mechanical designs through environmental testing (e.g., MIL-810-H) and iterate through prototype to design finalized for production.
  • •Maintain product development documentation and hand over the mechanical BOM to the NPI team via PLM.

Key Requirements

  • •Degree qualification in Mechanical Engineering.
  • •Minimum 7 years of mechanical design experience in an R&D environment.
  • •3D modelling skills (Creo Parametric, Siemens NX or similar) are required.
  • •Experience with Product Lifecycle Management (Creo Windchill, Teamcentre or similar) is advantageous.
  • •Industrial and manufacturing knowledge or experience.
