Key Responsibilities

•Deliver mechanical design and site engineering services for transportation buildings projects.
•Act as WSP’s mechanical engineering representative during construction, supporting contractors, owners, and internal teams through all phases of site execution.
•Lead the design and implementation of mechanical systems including HVAC, hydronic systems, plumbing, fire protection, and BAS.
•Conduct regular site visits and field reviews to verify installations align with design intent, codes, and contract documents.
•Review and respond to shop drawings, RFIs, change requests, and proposed design deviations with a strong focus on constructability.

Key Requirements

•Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering and P.Eng. registration with PEO.
•7–10 years of experience designing mechanical systems for transportation, commercial, healthcare, or light industrial projects.
•Strong knowledge of applicable codes and standards (OBC, CSA, ASHRAE, ASPE, NFPA, SMACNA, AREMA).
•Proven experience providing construction administration and field engineering services on complex projects.
•Expertise with mechanical design and analysis software (e.g., HAP/Tracer, duct and pipe sizing, equipment selection).
