Key Responsibilities

  • •Lead the commercial delivery of multiple projects within the Health, Science and Education portfolio.
  • •Manage and monitor contract costs, including forecasting, reporting to completion, and ensuring timely applications.
  • •Proactively manage cost variance and contract cash flow, and provide commercial knowledge and support to stakeholders.
  • •Collaborate with client and contractor teams to manage deliverables, KPIs, programme performance, cost control, and value engineering.
  • •Effectively manage contract changes, drive improvements to forecast/budget accuracy, ensure final accounts are negotiated, and mentor junior staff.

Key Requirements

  • •At least 5 years of varied project experience, with strong communication with stakeholders.
  • •Sound cost management experience and knowledge of contract management using JCT and NEC forms of contract.
  • •Strong experience in change management and control, including valuation, risk management, procurement, and cost planning/estimating.
  • •Ability to drive efficiencies and improvements through the project lifecycle, with a collaborative best-for-project approach.
  • •People management experience, including mentoring junior staff and managing/ prioritising more than one project at a time.
