Key Responsibilities

  • •Oversee mechanical engineering execution across the full development lifecycle, from concept definition and feasibility prototyping through EVT, DVT, PVT, and ramp.
  • •Provide hands-on technical leadership on cross-functional trade-offs and architectural decisions across thermals, fluids, mechanisms, and sensing.
  • •Ensure hardware meets performance, user experience, and quality standards.
  • •Shape and execute the hardware product roadmap with the executive team, translating requirements into mechanical architecture, schedules, and build plans.
  • •Manage and grow a high-performing mechanical/product design team, including hiring, coaching, design reviews, ownership/phase gates, and performance management.

Key Requirements

  • •8+ years developing complex electromechanical systems, ideally high-volume consumer hardware.
  • •Track record launching products from concept through production, scaling to high-volume manufacturing (including Asia).
  • •Deep technical knowledge of injection molding, electronics/sensor integration, and mechanism design, with thermal engineering, fluid systems, actuators, and soft goods preferred.
