Key Responsibilities

•Oversee mechanical engineering execution across the full development lifecycle, from concept definition and feasibility prototyping through EVT, DVT, PVT, and ramp.
•Provide hands-on technical leadership on cross-functional trade-offs and architectural decisions across thermals, fluids, mechanisms, and sensing.
•Ensure hardware meets performance, user experience, and quality standards.
•Shape and execute the hardware product roadmap with the executive team, translating requirements into mechanical architecture, schedules, and build plans.
•Manage and grow a high-performing mechanical/product design team, including hiring, coaching, design reviews, ownership/phase gates, and performance management.

Travel: Medium travel

Key Requirements

•8+ years developing complex electromechanical systems, ideally high-volume consumer hardware.
•Track record launching products from concept through production, scaling to high-volume manufacturing (including Asia).
•Deep technical knowledge of injection molding, electronics/sensor integration, and mechanism design, with thermal engineering, fluid systems, actuators, and soft goods preferred.
•Experience leading early-stage product development (concept definition, feasibility prototyping, industrial design).
•BSME or equivalent, with willingness and ability to travel to China as needed.
