Key Responsibilities

  • •Lead planning and delivery of ecological inputs for internal and external clients.
  • •Produce and technically review ecological assessments including Preliminary Ecological Appraisal, Habitats Regulations Assessment, and Biodiversity Net Gain Calculations.
  • •Provide technical leadership for proportionate and pragmatic ecological solutions.
  • •Lead consultation and engagement with clients and stakeholders, including planning authorities, statutory bodies, and the public.
  • •Lead production of bids and tenders for ecological services and mentor junior staff and peers.

Key Requirements

  • •Demonstratable experience planning and delivering ecological services on projects in the UK or Ireland.
  • •Well-developed understanding of relevant wildlife conservation.
  • •Membership of an appropriate professional institution and evidence of working towards Chartership (such as CIEEM or related).
  • •Excellent field skills in at least one specialist area, including protected species licences.
  • •Proactive approach to Health and Safety, with experience mentoring and supporting ecology team members.
