Job Summary

Lead residential mortgage loan origination for Financial Center offices and outside referral sources, owning production from application through closing. Build referral relationships and a sales-focused team environment, partner with Fulfillment Operations to drive closed volume, and manage day-to-day performance of Mortgage Loan Originators (MLOs). Ensure compliance with state and federal lending regulations, monitor quality and customer experience metrics, and develop strategic plans to grow volume in the assigned area.

Key Responsibilities

•Originate residential mortgage loans from application through closing, driving personal production and cross-selling objectives.
•Develop referral source relationships (e.g., realtors, builders, professional and personal contacts) and build relationships with Financial Center personnel.
•Manage a team of at least 5 MLOs, including performance feedback, coaching, performance management, and commission administration.
•Hold business plan reviews and build strategic and tactical plans to drive volume growth in the assigned area.
•Monitor compliance and quality, ensure MLOs attend required meetings, and serve as an intermediary for loan issues with processing and underwriting managers.

Key Requirements

•Manage and coach a team of Mortgage Loan Originators (MLOs) to meet personal and team mortgage sales and cross-selling objectives.
•2-4 years of residential mortgage sales experience, with in-depth knowledge of conventional, government, and portfolio guidelines.
•Knowledge of residential mortgage processing, underwriting, and closing procedures, including federal lending regulations for real estate lending.
•Ability to analyze policies and guidelines to maximize productivity while managing risk, with strong leadership, interpersonal, and communication skills.
•PC proficiency in Windows-based tools (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and experience with mortgage origination systems and automated decisioning tools; must maintain S.A.F.E. Act registration through NMLS.
