Key Responsibilities

  • •Perform scheduled preventative maintenance (PM), DOT Inspections and follow-up repairs on trailers and equipment in a mobile/field environment
  • •Perform minor adjustments and repairs on various trailers and systems (aluminum/chem-lite, trailer brakes, air lines, auxiliary pumps/engines, liftgates, brake chambers)
  • •Use hand tools, precision instruments, trailer tools, welding equipment, and jacks to diagnose and repair equipment
  • •Document repairs, parts used, and findings on Repair Orders using TRAIT application and upload photos via company devices
  • •Complete DOT forms and other documentation timely, maintain safety compliance (OSHA, EPA, DOT) and manage daily task prioritization

Key Requirements

  • •High School Diploma/GED and 5 years’ experience in a related field; or alternative combinations such as degree/certification with 3+ years experience; or 7 years in related field
  • •Possess and supply a set of hand tools necessary to perform required job duties
  • •OEM training and certifications are preferred
  • •Must be able to complete and pass a DOT pre-employment background screening and DOT physical; valid DOT medical card may be substituted under some conditions
  • •Participate in and complete all company-required safety training
