Key Responsibilities

  • •Provide legal support to Offshore, MCV/Cargo, and Port Services businesses on chartering activities, including CP reviews and spot tug chartering support.
  • •Prepare, review, and negotiate charter party contracts and vessel acquisition/disposal contracts, including related tax and insurance matters.
  • •Contribute legal material to tenders and bid proposals, including drafting/reviewing NDA, LOI, and MOU.
  • •Draft and review shipbuilding contracts and review financial/loan agreements, including loan documentation and covenant compliance.
  • •Support compliance and legal framework administration, including joint venture/collaboration agreements, internal control procedures, and coordination/monitoring of litigation or proceedings.

Key Requirements

  • •Bachelor’s degree in Law.
  • •Master’s degree in marine law or Contract law (preferred).
  • •5–7 years’ experience in shipping law.
  • •Strong transactional shipping/contracts experience, including offshore charter party or towage concession drafting.
  • •English/common-law qualification and ability to be based in the Gulf region or relocate to Dubai.
