Key Responsibilities

  • •Design and build a scalable, highly available global synthetic trading platform.
  • •Partner with tech leads in other regions to deliver a global platform while leading development of a portion from Guangzhou.
  • •Provide leadership to the Guangzhou local team and establish an independent development capability in Guangzhou.
  • •Contribute to and influence design and architecture decisions for the platform’s future state.
  • •Collaborate with front-office trading and product teams to deliver new functionality and improvements; liaise with compliance and risk/control teams to ensure regulatory compliance.

Key Requirements

  • •Prior experience in an investment banking setting.
  • •Expert-level, applied Java experience (JVM, garbage collection, data structures, non-blocking IO).
  • •In-depth knowledge of DeltaOne and synthetic trading (order lifecycle, locate, inventory management, FIX messaging).
  • •Strong knowledge of robust, scalable, highly available distributed trading platform design and architecture.
  • •Fluent in written and spoken English and an excellent communicator; appreciation of Agile delivery and DevOps knowledge.
