Key Responsibilities

  • •Develop and qualify system power to meet new product power requirements.
  • •Develop and execute test plans for upcoming power designs and document procedures, plans, and specifications.
  • •Assist in resolving power-related field/product issues for assigned projects.
  • •Engage with power supply vendors to develop power supplies meeting Cisco quality requirements and timelines.
  • •Perform design reviews of schematics, BOMs, layout, and routing; conduct failure analysis, RCA, and corrective action reporting (including 8D).

Key Requirements

  • •Bachelor’s degree in electrical/computer engineering or power electronics with 6+ years, or a Master’s with 4+ years, or a PhD with 1+ related year.
  • •Experience with power design, power electronics, or analog design.
  • •Experience with power design topologies such as buck and buck-boost, focused on highest efficiency.
  • •Hands-on experience with tools such as Concept, Allegro, LTspice, PSpice, Simplis, Mathcad, PowerDC, SIWave, Ansys, or Hyperlynx.
  • •Ability to design and qualify system power for new products and meet power requirements.
