Key Responsibilities

  • •Own the firmware development process and update/tailor/maintain component design and design review standards content.
  • •Chair and govern system/component design reviews, assess design maturity, and evaluate technical risk.
  • •Lead full lifecycle FPGA work packages and technical activities across multiple concurrent projects to meet quality, schedule, and performance requirements.
  • •Facilitate corrective action (RCCA) activities, transition lessons learned into process improvements, and conduct discipline health reviews.
  • •Mentor IPTs and engineers, lead discipline-specific process/tools training, and serve as champion for the Community of Practice.

Key Requirements

  • •A minimum 2:1 Bachelor's degree (or equivalent) in Electronics Engineering or a related field.
  • •Strong VHDL experience across architecture, coding, simulation, and test benching (Microchip, Xilinx, SoC).
  • •Proven experience leading FPGA development activities within complex engineering programmes.
  • •Demonstrated ability to influence technical decisions, engineering standards, and development practices.
  • •Proven experience working to formal design standards such as DO-254, with excellent communication skills.
