Key Responsibilities

•Lead and grow a team of 20+ Applied Scientists through multiple Applied Science Leads, coaching and developing leaders while attracting top scientists.
•Set the technical direction for applied science and drive transformative AI projects for identity verification and fraud detection from research to production.
•Communicate the technical vision and roadmap internally and externally across multiple levels.
•Influence the strategic direction of the Identity Security line of business in partnership with Product, Engineering, Analytics, Legal, Marketing, Finance, Sales, and Customer Success.
•Ensure responsible and trustworthy AI by addressing fairness, bias mitigation, explainability, and model governance in biometric and identity systems.

Key Requirements

•PhD (or equivalent) in Computer Science, Machine Learning, Applied Mathematics, or a related quantitative field, or equivalent industry research experience.
•Deep technical expertise in machine learning and deep learning, with hands-on grounding in computer vision, biometrics, anomaly/fraud detection, or generative AI.
•Minimum 10 years of experience in applied machine learning in a B2B setting at industrial scale.
•Proven track record taking applied research from concept to production at scale with measurable business impact.
•Experience leading leaders by managing and developing other managers/leads to scale and retain high-performing science teams.
