Key Responsibilities

  • •Develop and implement a comprehensive regional category management strategy and commercial agreements to reduce total cost of ownership and maximize value.
  • •Integrate safety into contracting and procurement processes to meet or exceed Rio Tinto safety standards.
  • •Act as a strategic partner to Rio Tinto sites in Africa by supporting service quality and performance of assigned strategic suppliers.
  • •Collaborate with global and North American teams, business units, internal stakeholders, suppliers, and external partners to execute procurement strategies.
  • •Lead key or complex sourcing projects, develop negotiation plans, conduct negotiations, and manage contracts and supplier relationship management.
