Job Summary

Perform preventative maintenance and repairs for equipment, tools, and machinery as directed by the Maintenance Supervisor. Install, adjust, and repair production equipment and special purpose machines using hand and power tools; complete welding, torching, and light machining as needed. Troubleshoot malfunctioning machinery, install equipment/electrical components, dismantle and remove defective parts, replace parts, and lubricate and clean components to ensure safe, timely operation.

Key Responsibilities

•Provide preventative maintenance and repair for assigned equipment, tools, and machinery.
•Install, adjust, and repair production equipment and special purpose machines.
•Operate hand and power tools to repair, grease, change parts, and complete assigned tasks.
•Weld, torch, and perform light machining as required; carry out general repairs and preventive maintenance to plant structures.
•Test and troubleshoot malfunctioning machinery, determine repairs, and follow through to restore safe, proper operation.

Key Requirements

•High school diploma/equivalent, or comparable training, education, or experience.
•Technical or vocational school certification or equivalent training/experience.
•Ability to read and interpret instructions and operations manuals and follow step-by-step instructions.
•Knowledge of hydraulics, pneumatics, belting, mechanics, electricity, carpentry, or related fields.
•Full understanding of preventative and predictive maintenance programs.
