Key Responsibilities

  • •Support DE tests in the manufacturing line or perform testing in a lab environment, interpreting engineering/technical instructions into actions and outcomes.
  • •Troubleshoot basic to moderate process and equipment issues on the production line or in the lab and suggest system improvements.
  • •Compile and analyze test data from performed testing to support engineering decisions.
  • •Plan, coordinate, and execute engineering tests (ETAs) on the production line, coupon line, or laboratory with coordination across team boundaries.
  • •Oversee maintenance and train others in the owned operational process/equipment while working under minimal supervision.

Salary: USD 23.37 - 32.69 hourly

Key Requirements

  • •High School Diploma or equivalent with 10 years of relevant technical experience, or 2 years as a Development Engineer Technician I at First Solar.
  • •Associate’s degree in an engineering discipline (or similar technical discipline) with 3 years of relevant technical experience, or 2 years as a Development Engineer Technician I at First Solar.
  • •Bachelor’s degree in an engineering discipline (or similar technical discipline) without prior technical work experience.
  • •Ability to perform sample testing, semiconductor device fabrication, and/or electrical or optical measurements.
  • •Intermediate MS Office skills and some knowledge of SQL/JMP, plus the ability to execute experiments in lab or on the floor and communicate with associates.
