Key Responsibilities

  • •Drive creative direction and design strategy for the Topshop tailoring category, aligning collections to brand vision and customer needs.
  • •Research fashion trends and cultural signals (catwalk, street style, social media, competitor activity) and translate them into product opportunities.
  • •Develop seasonal concepts including colour palettes, fabric direction, silhouettes, key items, and styling approaches for multi-product tailoring ranges.
  • •Create detailed design packs, CADs, and technical briefs; partner with Product Development and suppliers on fabrics, trims, and finishes.
  • •Own fit, proportion, and silhouette direction through fittings with Technical teams, then analyze trade performance and customer feedback to inform future decisions.

  • •Strong experience in a Tailoring Design role in a fast-paced fashion retailer or contemporary fashion brand.
  • •Excellent understanding of tailoring construction, fit principles, fabrications, and garment finishing techniques.
  • •Proven ability to identify emerging trends and translate insight into commercially successful product.
  • •Highly proficient in Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, and CAD development.
  • •Strong communication and presentation skills, with the ability to influence stakeholders and manage multiple priorities.
