Job Summary

Lead wire and cable application development by driving innovation within priority industry segments. Gather market intelligence, translate emerging customer needs into new technical solutions, and support commercialization of LyondellBasell polymers. Act as a recognized technical expert across R&D, Industry Marketing, Sales, and partners, coordinating cross-functional execution, development priorities, resource plans, and project work with financial analysis and strong safety and continuous-improvement focus.

Key Responsibilities

•Lead application development activities and provide technical direction for current and future industry applications.
•Serve as a recognized technical expert supporting R&D, Industry Marketing, Sales, and other stakeholders.
•Drive application and product development projects with strategic customers and cross-functional teams.
•Develop tools, systems, and processes to improve technical service, application development, and project management effectiveness.
•Manage development projects using financial analysis and project management practices, while promoting safety and continuous improvement.

Key Requirements

•Prefer a university technical degree in Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Polymer Engineering, or Chemistry (or equivalent).
•Minimum 15 years of experience in the polymer or polyolefin industry, ideally in polypropylene, polyethylene, infrastructure, or building and construction applications.
•General knowledge of high and low density polyethylene, polypropylene, and Catalloy resin technologies with a business/market focus.
•Exposure to the polymers business (preferred).
•Fluent English is required; additional European languages are an advantage.
