Job Summary

Drive technical underwriting strategies for Zurich’s Auto book of business within the North America Technical Underwriting team. Monitor performance metrics and syndicate findings to adjust underwriting strategy, ensure compliance with Zurich risk and underwriting governance policies, and lead initiatives and projects that strengthen guidelines, controls, and best practices. Partner across global colleagues and business units on portfolio management, technical pricing accuracy, training, and underwriting reviews to support business financial plans.

•Own portfolio management analysis to monitor profitability and growth of specialty business areas, including implementing remedial recommendations.
•Improve technical pricing accuracy and deliver underwriting technical training and subject-matter expertise.

Key Requirements

•Bachelor’s degree and 8+ years of underwriting experience, or a High School Diploma (or equivalent) and 10+ years of underwriting experience.
•Use underwriting expertise to manage and develop technical underwriting strategies for the Auto lines of business.
•Apply established Zurich risk, global underwriting, and underwriting governance policies in practice.
•Lead initiatives and projects that develop technical underwriting guidelines, best practices, and controls.
•Demonstrate strong listening, verbal, and written communication skills.
