Job Summary

Perform fluorescent penetration inspection (FPI) to examine aerospace engine case parts, identify defects, and verify conformance to work instructions and repair scope. Clean and process parts using an FPI booth, inspect internal case structures with inspection equipment, and complete inspection documents, reports, and stamping for acceptability. Collaborate with engineering, quality, and operations, and assist the Level III Quality Engineer with test technique development.

Key Responsibilities

•Perform fluorescent penetration inspection (FPI) on aerospace engine cases to determine defects and verify conformance to work instructions.
•Clean and process parts using the FPI booth as part of the inspection workflow.
•Inspect internal case structure using inspection equipment for FPI and mark nonconforming areas.
•Prepare and complete inspection documents (manual and electronic), reports, and stamping of work instructions to indicate acceptability and completion.
•Review work instructions, repair operation requirements, and blueprints; assist the Level III Quality Engineer with developing test techniques.

Key Requirements

•HS diploma (or equivalent, e.g., GED) with at least 1 year of relevant experience.
•Experience/education in NDT methods, specifically fluorescent penetration inspection (FPI).
•Experience in aviation component repair (preferred).
•Basic knowledge of MS Office programs.
•SAP experience (preferred).
